Privacy Policy

Valori ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by PraxenWorks LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Valori application and website (valori.fit).

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (encrypted). You may optionally provide your name, age, height, weight, and fitness goals during onboarding.

Health & Fitness Data: Valori collects data you voluntarily enter, including:

• Workout logs (exercises, sets, reps, weight)
• Nutrition logs (meals, calories, macronutrients)
• Sleep data (bedtime, wake time, quality)
• Mood and journal entries
• Body measurements and progress photos
• Daily habits and step counts

Apple HealthKit Data: If you grant permission, Valori reads the following from Apple HealthKit: steps, active energy burned, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep analysis (including stages), and weight. This data is used within the app to inform coaching and is never sold or shared with advertisers. In accordance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines, HealthKit data is not stored on our servers — only derived summaries (averages, trends) may be synced if you enable cloud sync.

Coach Conversations: Messages you send to your coach are processed to provide personalized coaching responses. The coach may store context notes to improve future conversations.

Usage Data: We do not use third-party analytics or tracking scripts. We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses for tracking, or behavioral analytics beyond what is needed for the service to function.

2. How Your Data is Organized

We use a tiered data model designed to give you control over what is stored and where:

• Account & Preferences: Your profile, goals, and settings are synced to the cloud to enable your experience across devices.
• Activity Data: Workouts, nutrition, and sleep logs are synced to our cloud database with your consent, enabling coaching and progress tracking.
• Personal Reflections: Mood entries, journal notes, and personal reflections are stored locally on your device by default. You can opt in to cloud sync for these if you choose.
• Biometric Data: Raw biometric streams (like HealthKit data) are never stored on our servers. Only derived metrics (averages, trends) may be synced if you enable cloud sync.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and personalize your coaching experience
• Generate daily plans, workout suggestions, and nutrition guidance
• Send optional email briefings (morning briefing, weekly reports) that you can disable at any time
• Improve the app's features and performance

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored locally on your device first, then synced to our cloud database (hosted by Supabase) when you are online. Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext. We use Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access their own data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be processed by the following services solely to provide the Valori experience:

• Anthropic: Your coaching conversations are processed by language models to generate personalized responses. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy.
• FatSecret: Food search queries are sent to FatSecret's API for nutrition data lookup. No personal data is included in these requests.
• SendGrid: Your email address is used to deliver optional briefing emails.
• Supabase: Our cloud database provider, which stores your encrypted data.
• RevenueCat: Subscription management. Processes your Apple ID purchase information to manage your subscription status. No health or fitness data is shared.

6. No Advertising

Valori does not display advertisements. We do not share your data with advertisers or ad networks. Your health and fitness data is never used for targeted advertising.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data at any time through the app's export feature (JSON format)
• Delete your account and all associated cloud data by contacting us
• Opt out of email communications at any time
• Correct your personal information within the app
• Port your data — export all your information in a standard format

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA. If you are in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under the GDPR. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Health Data Disclaimer

Valori is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The coaching, workout suggestions, and nutrition guidance provided are for informational and motivational purposes only. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new exercise program or making dietary changes.

9. Children's Privacy

Valori is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.

10. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data from our servers within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it. Local data on your device remains under your control.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Valori after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
